Not Me Monday

I can hardly believe that it is the Monday before Christmas! Seriously, where does the week go? So here I go again, because I tell ya, I wasn't me, It really wasn't!!
I wasn't stuck in last minute Christmas shopping traffic Saturday. I spent 45 minutes trying to get out of Target's parking lot.
My bra did not turn on me. My bra my favorite bra, rebelled. The underwire broke, wriggled out of the fabric and lodged itself into my flesh. No amount of squirming, readjusting or @#$$!!@ing helped. I was systematically being stabbed by something that once gave me such support.
Hannah did not put sugar under her pillow thinking that the Snow Fairy would reward her with a white Christmas. Where does she get these ideas anyway?
I didn't stay up until way after midnight last night working on projects. I would never wake up thinking this would be a perfect day to call in "sick" and sleep in. I had the phone in my hand to do just that when it rang. Nicky called to let me know that she was going to be "sick."
Maybe next Monday I can plan to take the day off and stay in bed.
I didn't have to work all day alone as Shirley (The flirt) continued to add extra patients to challange me. PBB "Papaw" was wrong when he predicted things would be slow during this time of the year.
I didn't have to eat continuously to keep up my energy level today. Several patients brought in treats today. The sad part is that they didn't even taste great but were filled with sugar to get me through the day.
I didn't forget that Nicky and I were scheduled to to train in mixing today at noon with our part-time med tech. He finally showed up and we didn't.
I did not drive to work with my gas tank being flat empty. I would never wait until the last minute to get gas. That would be irresponsible since I have run out of gas once or twice in the past. I know it can happen! I pulled up to a pump, inserted my debit card and pushed the debit key. Nothing happened as I continued to push. The display looked slightly damaged and it was actually freezing so I moved to another pump. The same thing happened again so I checked with the Wal Mart attendant who told me that the buttons didn't work and the pump was showing ready. I went back to the pump and it began pumping the fuel. I then remembered that I had already entered my card in the 1st pump as a truck pulled up to get gas. I checked with the attendant who said my card was still logged on that pump. I almost filled up someone else's tank.
Hannah did not list the pros and cons of 2 little boys on her hands and try to figure out who was the best catch. I am not ready to have a WITCH ONE conversation.
I was not informed last week by a close friend that my hair was really getting gray. Can you believe someone would say that to me? Am I getting fatter too? I went to Sally's for my 3N cream color and hope to use before Christmas. Turning gray prematurely is a bitch!
It is not 11:43 now! Well at least it is still Monday. Goodnight!
Hit the NOT ME! MONDAY picture at the top to read MckMama's post and many others! Hope y'all have a great week!

Not me Monday
I skipped last week of Not Me Monday because I thought my week went very well. I thought I should focus on the positives instead. I made it through a week of Not Me's and lived to tell about about it
I did not dodge a process server for 2 days to avoid a deposition as a witness. I always like to face problems head on and be in charge. I would never expect my boss to pull strings to make it the deposition more convenient for my work schedule.
I did not attempt to make divinity. I have never even used a candy thermometer. I don’t know why I would start with something so complicated. It didn’t work out and was too messy to eat.
I did not do Hannah’s Bibliography for her Science Fair Project. I know that she needs to do it herself. I did wait until the last minute waiting for her to “get started.”

We did not eat as many Natchitoches meat pies, funnel cakes, turkey legs, and alligator on a stick as we possibly could. We would never do that especially since the rain clouds were coming in and it would be nearly impossible to move at the speed needed to take all of our necessities back to 4 vehicles. We would just have been soaked, fat and happy.
I was not so tired from the Natchitoches adventures and misadventures that I slept through Sunday school, woke up for breakfast, took a nap and woke up at 3PM. That would be a complete waste of a good day. The worst part would be not being able to sleep that night until 2 AM. That would be awful and I’m lucky that that’s not my story.

I did not make dozens of hand crafted ornaments that were really cute and not even put any on the tree. We actually have 7 small trees.
I was holding out for one beautiful tree that we would find in the woods and bring back home. I came home to the one that I found on clearance years ago at Wal Mart. I thought I had found such a great deal and was thrilled. I didn’t check the size but it recommended that 2 people to lift. I was not that disappointed when it turned out to be 3 ft tall if I put it on a small table.
My tree has no balls yet...I did not wait until December 12th to pull out Christmas ornaments. That would be so foolish for me to wait until the night that Hannah had a movie church night and spend my free time cleaning, unpacking and decorating. I certainly did not pick Hannah up looking as if I were her servant and while all of the other parents were decked out in date night fashions.
Of course I have done all the laundry for the week. I knew that we would be busy last weekend so I planned “home” work accordingly. You can't ignore laundry, it does not go away, and it multiplies
I love menu planning! I would never buy groceries for certain meals, misplace them and wonder if I ever bought them ~ only to find them when I re-purchase them.
I was not late for our family get together in Natchitoches this past weekend. In fact I don’t even understand why those who love me don’t plan ahead and tell me an earlier time so we can meet up at the same time. Go figure!
My child was the most well behaved of course. I have worked diligently with her to make sure she always listens, takes no for an answer and would never pout for hours and hours to get her way. Aunt Colleen would never give in to Hannah’s demands especially after telling me to be strong.

I didn't follow my menu plan for Sunday. Our special Sunday dinner began with dessert first ~ Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes. Then I went all out and made sloppy joes and potato chips.
I am sooo extremely financially responsible. I always keep an eye on my bank accounts and credit cards to monitor for errors. I would hate to check my account and find a debit for $231 for a cable company that I had never heard of. I would never have to get another debit card since my last brush with fraudulent use was on Thanksgiving weekend. I have only had this card for about 3 weeks.
Of course I am finished Christmas shopping. It would be a real problem if I had to spend the last on line shopping days stressed because my debit card was enroute.
I don’t understand why these strange things keep happening to me. I am so straightforward and when the lady at the “cable company” in question asked for my social security number I couldn’t wait to bet all 9 of the memorized numbers out of my mouth. I knew that I could trust her because she had such a sweet voice and sounded really concerned for me. I know that everyone I told this story to gasped because they were impressed that I can still remember all of those numbers so quickly even though my head is spinning from all of the chaos going on in my world. I would never give out too much information and I can be trusted with anyone’s top secrets. I would NEVER intentionally let any private information get into the wrong hands!

I know that everyone I love is enjoying my Christmas cards! If you haven't gotton yours it is probably lost in the mail. I am always prepared since Christmas does come every single year at this time. It never sneaks up on me. Well actually I haven't picked up Hannah's Santa pictures yet. But I am going to plan ahead for next year and buy the cards on clearance so they will be signed, addressed and ready for stamps well in advance. I would stamp them but I'm afraid the postage price will go up again and I would have to waste our office postage. Maybe I should just do the E cards??? hmmm
As I post, there is a threat of winter weather in the Ark-La-Tex. I would never hope for an ice storm just so Hannah and I could stay home all day and drink hot chocolate.

Not me . . .

It's that time again when we all confess all the crazy things we did...oops, I mean DID NOT do this past week.
If you need some good laughs today, click on the icon above for more "Not Me" confessions.
I was not questioned by hospital security for taking a picture of this billboard. A friend of mines sister was proposed to and she wanted me to take a picture of the board. The hospital is across the street on the left. The security guard wanted to know why I was taking pictures of the hospital and said it was against policy. I really don't understand why that would be an issue but I showed him the board and he asked if the pictures were showing up on the camera.
I did not joke around at work and tell Michelle that our boss expected all of the billing to be done before we left Wednesday. Who would believe me anyway? I am always joking around with the girls at work and hate that she worked an hour over Thanksgiving Eve ( her hubby's B-day).
I did not ask my sister, Paula Dean's twin, to bake a special pie for Thanksgiving. I would never expect such.
I am not such a bad cook that my sister would suggest that I just not bring anything to dinner. Was is that or the fact that I always run late?
I did not arrive 40 minutes late for Thanksgiving dinner. I know how hard my sister worked on it. She was sick with a UTI and sinus infection. I would never be so inconsiderate. Atleast I told them to go ahead and start.
I did not miss Jackie's speech on how thankful he was for his family. He didn't even mention me but I know he would have if I had been there.
I did not end up taking the whole pie home because it hadn't been cut yet. I'm sure no one else was interested in tasting since it because it was for me.
I did not over react when Hannah and her neighbor friend gave the kittens a bath, tracked mud on floors and wrecked the house. A messy house is a happy home after all. Too bad I was just about finished cleaning for the day.
I did not work on Christmas Crafts until 3 AM and not wake up to go to Sunday School. I have no idea what got into me but I couldn't stop. I did watch the service on TV and felt guilty.
I did not melt a tea pitcher because I was in a hurry to use the boiler for something else. I had poured sugar in the plastic pitcher and added the tea and 4 tea bags. The pitcher began shrinking and I slowly realized this is not good. I then poured the tea down the sink and we drank coke with our Sunday dinner.
I did not let Hannah stay up too late Sunday night. What a bad mom that would be.
I did not wait until my car's gas tank was completely empty to decide to fill up. You know when you become terrified that you are about to run out. I made it to Sam's and my debit card was INVALID. I changed pumps and same thing INVALID. Different gas station and same thing INVALID card. I checked my balance and had money in my account. Turns out someone in Paris was using my card. The bank noticed and shut the card down. Thank goodness!
I did not come home to find my friend and upstairs neighbor mad about the kittens using her front steps as the litter box. Long story but I did clean it up.
I did not have my electricity cut off for nonpayment! They have never treated me this way. I was sick for 2 weeks and have no idea what happen to that bill. I was shocked when my lunch date told me there was a problem with my power as I was on poop patrol. How embarassing is that? I paid it and they cut it on right away but still. Now I have to search for other bills and see where I stand instead of christmas shopping.
I could really go on and on but I am way too sleepy.
It has been a great week and I'm so glad that I didn't do any of those things! What did you not do?
